I can’t even. It looks as good in person as in photos. I probably did NOT lick the window. Maybe. It was Sunday so I could only window shop.
I live in a county with a population of less than 300K full time residents with an area of just over 1,200 square miles. Granted tourism brings in millions of visitors year round, there ain’t a lot of people here, and even fewer who would be a buyer for this. I am surprised to see one here.

You actually had the explanation in your paragraph already: it’s to attract extra tourists. Or at least it should be. See if you can convince the Chamber of Commerce to buy it and let you drive.

Why did they put a big plastic mouth guard in the grill? Is Focus RS about to get punched in the kisser?

Really?! Why?
I can’t quite figure out why I like this so much.

There is a GT350 at the Ford Dealer in Saluda, SC. Saluda is smaller than Conway. Saluda is Hemingway sized.

There are 6 new Corvettes at the Chevy dealer in Cobourg, ON (where I was born), including a Grand Sport. Cobourg has 20,000 full time residents, give or take a few. I could totally see an RS being sold in a county of 300k people over 1200 square miles.

Figure this one out.
They’re terrible pics because I pulled them out of a dashcam video, but that baby blue thing outside what looks like the service bay is a FoRS.
This was in Nipigon, ON. I guess it must have been a factory order, but I thought that even those were mostly reserved for certain preselected dealers, no?
Either way, there’s a wild FoRS roaming the streets of Nipigon, that much I know.

If you were forced to buy a new car today in the $30-40k range for yourself to drive as your only automobile, what would it be?

Seems to be a very good car, from everything I’ve read and heard.

I thought my MK6 R was a great car, but my MK7 GSW has a sublimely fantastic chassis. So I can’t imagine how mind blowingly good the MK7 R is.

I’m pretty sure you can order them from any performance authorized dealer. There’s one that’s usually in my neighbourhood, but that’s Kelowna so I’m not surprised.

One of the only cars where the base model is better than the luxury version. Just get a GX470, jeez.

I bought my FiST from these guys , and they recently called me to tell me they had a FoRS that the buyer backed out on... it was on the ship when they called. I told them to call me again when it gets to the lot if someone else hadn’t agreed to take it sight unseen.
Go ahead an zoom out from the maps image.
keep going.
let me know when you get to a population center over 100K... it’ll be Canada.

Canyon/Colorado, if I could keep my old truck and have a new car I’d pick a Camaro or ATS coupe.

Guess I’ve gotten a bit used to them. Working here in Dearborn it seems every other young engineer has bought one w/ some massive credit. I kid you not...there are 4 identical ones in my parking lot right now.

Chevy’s killing it. Love that the new Camaros are as good as they are - I’m hoping they make a next gen SS sedan based completely on the Camaro SS chassis/suspension/drivetrain.

Honda has already proven they can build a solid FWD performance car. That’s that. I’m not sure why people still don’t believe that. The fact that the last CTR lapped the Nurburgring in 7:50 should be enough proof.

I mostly just think that from my personal experience, FWD cars with monster torque are a ridiculous and terrible idea.
They might be able to build a solid FWD performance car, but you’ll just think about how much better it could have been with AWD.
