Tomorrow, I will drive 93o km to get my winter wheels mounted. And no, that’s not a round trip, it’s one-way.

Since moving to this island in the north, I took every opportunity I got to drive back home to meet friends and family. The school year usually has some sort of one or two week vacation every two months, so I just burned rubber and fuel to get to the south asap.

This time I just want to stay home, relax, do some day trips, and just recharge the battery, so to speak. BUT THEN I REMEMBERED THAT MY FUCKING WINTER WHEELS ARE STORED IN FUCKING SOUTHERN BAVARIA!

Talk some of the aforementioned friends and family into coming to visit you this time? “Oh, and while you’re on the way, mind popping ‘round my place to pick up the winter wheels and tires I left there?”

DHL would be able to help you out. Won’t be cheap, but certainly cheaper than gasoline for 1860 km. And that’s not even counting the time you save.

Here we can ship stuff by greyhound bus. I’d look into getting them shipped.

Yeah, but that’s like 5 miles. NBD.

For real though, a 1200-mile round trip is no joke.

I think you might like this beamer, around $2,750 USD or $2,500 euros for a BMWagon.
