I once got pulled over because my plate was off to the side. Officer ran my name for warrants and came back clean (of course) when I told him it was covering up a hole from an accident of a previous owner, he said since I made up the light bracket thing, I could figure a way to mount the plate in the middle.
I took the lights off after that. Never actually wired up the lights. Never moved the plate, never got pulled over for that again.
4 more days.

A rally car needs to have rally lights.

Don’t worry. I’ve got that covered.

Does the plate really cover up a hole? That’s pretty brilliant.

Is it illegal to not have your plate central there? Odd.

Um wat... that’s BS. I wonder how many EgoBoost F150's he’s pulled over...

I was going to say that this Metro has no idea what it’s getting into but it probably does.

I’m pretty sure there’s nothing illegal about having an off-center plate in Missouri. I never got in trouble for mine.

Is it required by law that it’s in the center or is it just another cop being a dick for no reason?

Sounds like a dick. There are a bunch of vehicles whose plates are mounted off center from the factory.

Nice, gonna shake like crazy though.. if they were wired..
Have to get at the rebar in the bumper to be solid enough to rally with;

Possibly because it’s bent around the bumper I could get that, but never any other problems since. Easy pickings to pull someone over to run the plate and name.

I was working out of town and screwing around d after work. I would have braced it if I kept it.

I doubt it’s illegal just an easy excuse to pull someone over. If I had a warrant out I would have gotten arrested. Which I’ve never had.

Yeah, just a bunch of BS from the PD. Come to Kansas! We have no front plates, no bogus “safety” inspections, and no personal property tax.

Kind of. Not a gapping hole but some punctures from getting g sandwiched in traffic.

Kind of. I doubt it’s actually illegal but it is. Bent around the bumper so just trying to get an easy arrest if I had warrants.

I don’t think the labor unions are very strong there. We have a job there with a bunch of locals making less than I do now.

sounds to me like he’s being a dick. what about F150's? Since the Ecoboost came out all the trucks have the plate off center. (blocks the intercooler if it’s in the middle)
