But I did get this guy with some serious reading comprehension issues.
This is the entire convo, just comes right in with a vague question. I thought he was asking what type of rod was thrown (pretty clear in ad), but it seems he was wondering what part came with the truck (also quite clear). I even reviewed the ad halfway through this exchange to be sure.

Tie rod != connecting rod. Seems to be confusing the poor chap.

He apparently understands it means the engine is done for, either way. I’m guessing he wasn’t burdened with an over-abundance of schooling.

I think he’s burdened with a birth defect if anything

I have a pretty expansive history of craigslist buying and selling, but I’ll never understand how some people can be so normal in person and at the same time come off as total neanderthals via text & email.

It’s the unexpected Tern of events.

This is so true. People that write in ALL CAPS, dont use any form of sentence structure, are vague and hard to understand, or use very poor English often times are perfectly normal and can hold a proper conversation in person. It makes sense for people who English isn’t their first language but it baffles me more when English is their only language. I just wonder how they function in life.

Every time I meet one of these people I think: “I’m not getting paid enough”
