Behind a janky commercial building that is for sale but has been vacant for a long time exists a moderately interesting collection of old iron.

Can anyone identify the Mercedes? Or the car between it and the e30?

those are a collection of the less than desirable and or wrong year versions of cool cars........... sitting waiting for when they will be worth hauling in for weight.(or parting out).........

What make it the wrong year? Like in terms of missing details.

wrong year, is ............. for example that brown duster in the back its about a 78 or 79. the bumpers got too big, it lost the good high compression engine for a smaller cubic inch smog motor. probably an auto instead of the DESIRABLE 4 speed........ it shares only the GENERAL body lines of the “premium” years, like for example ‘70, which had the 440, and the 340, both 11 to 1 compression ratio engines.......... the high impact colors were long gone.......... no more rally wheels, just cheap hubcaps............ lost the stripes packages for the vinyl roof.........

that blue olds, there on the far right is another example. probably supposed to be a 442. might just be a cutlass supreme. but still just a shadow of what made that name great.............

if you had bought one a few years earlier they would of had the performance and the style.......... so hence the “wrong year” car.

I do believe that car on the left foreground is a B-Body Dodge Magnum, and I think that gold car in the background is a mid 70's Dart or Duster, with the blue car looking like a ‘73 Cutlass Supreme.

those cars are PLENTY interesting. they just will never be particularly “valuable”. any of those cars would be lots of fun to pick up, and make cruisers, or weekend fun cars. they are the bargain basement(attainable) versions of the cool cars.

fun/interesting is where you find it...........
