A rare sight even when new. Pic by Scrawb on flickr.

This sorry sight was pictured in 2009 and it would have rather more than twenty years old.

I don’t get the math behind a 1980-1983 Talbot Tagora photographed in 2009 being less than twenty years old.

Maths was never my strong point!

So have a seemingly intact looking Punto that was scrapped at only 13 years old.

Kinja'd!!!

I’ve often wondered why cars that are often much newer than mine end up in scrapyards.

The recyclers in my old town just took this in. A 2007 Ford Freestyle (9 YEARS OLD!).

Damn... Probably Beyond saving unfortunately, but a very rare find nonetheless.

At some point I remember seeing a load of photos taken at a scrapyard in the 90's, which was full of almost nothing but talbots like this. I’ll have see if I can find them anywhere

Dafuq? Certainly they could have bested the junkyard’s offer of $250... It looks damn clean.

If miled up with a crapped out powertrain, might not be worth fixing.

I think historically, 10 year old cars in junkyards haven’t been insanely rare.

According to howmanyleft there isn’t a single Tagora registered in the UK. It looks as if the last one has been coming and going and is currently off the road.

You can still find them in France.
