there was a lot and I mean a lot, at least 5 metric fuck tons of metal.

Kinja'd!!!

there was this broke ass car sitting at a gas station, I don’t know who would own such a thing.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I saw a spitty

Kinja'd!!!

and a sad golf

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

and an MG

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Then I saw the grand prize, a 78' spider. This thing was nice and complete. I took the seatbelts out, the radio, a turn signal and some minor trim pieces

Kinja'd!!!

IT’S SO PERIOD CORRECT.
IT only cost me $22.33 for all this treasure.

There was also a Peugeot 505, a toyota Cressida wagon and an rx-7. I didn’t take pictures of those because my hands were full of stuff.

How could you walk away from those turbine wheels?

We didn’t have a jack, Plus I might try seeing if they’ll let me buy the entire thing later on.

Wow! Great find! You should grab those gauges too, they’re worth a pretty penny.

Go for it! The windshield looks good too? The body also looks pretty rust free.

If they don’t, cut it up and leave just the VIN plate and radiator cap left in the yard. Technically, you didn’t buy the whole car...

i like the grinder cutoff wheels too........ IF you were so inclined to go back, you could harvest the roughest parts of your car FROM it, like the tops of the fenders behind the lights, the door corner, the top of the nose in front of the hood. and whatever other real rough stuff you have been working on.......... dont misunderstand me, your repairs have been coming out looking spectacular, but when the opportunity to pick up mint sections of sheetmetal comes along, why not?...........you can always pin them to the garage wall for “later”............

Definitely, I’d much rather have a car all original metal.

I endorse this plan wholeheartedly.
