Fun fact I turned down a trade for one of these for a pos w126 I had back in high school. What a mistake.

I’ve got a lot of love for the W126, but that was indeed a mistake.

The w126 was the biggest piece of shit I ever had. Never ran right or idled, obd-I was non existant, and the buzzer pissed me off.

It probably had the usual intake vacuum leaks in the 2-piece plenum that nobody fixes unless they keep it from passing smog. I cut my teeth on Benzes and others of that generation apprenticing under a MBZ master tech, so I can whisper to them pretty well. Exceedingly good cars with proper maintenance. The buzzer is annoying, but easily disabled.

In teal even: If there is anyting more ‘90's please do tell! If only that flat-6 was in the right place. And aircooled... ;-)

Hello early 90's!

I’m not sure there is more 90's car in the US market! These engines can be put in the right place, there are a couple of Vanagons with these swapped in running around here, one a Syncro Westy!

Haha, really? Those Vanagons should be a blast! Did you ever try one?

No, I’d love to though. Anything but the Wasserboxer! We’ve done a couple of I4 Jetta engine swaps into them, and even those are nice.

I am in possession of the world’s last Subaru Reman Automatic transmission for the SVX.

Well if they need one, you know where to buy one.
