I just saw that Spain thing in the sidebar. Did you go yet? I love Southern Spain.

Awesome!

I should preface this with the fact that I spend most of my vacations drinking, so this is booze heavy:

In Malaga:

Go here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/antigua-casa-de-guardia-málaga-2 for super cheap sherry right out of the cask. The bar is standing only and they keep track of your tab with chalk written in front of you. It’s easily my favorite bar in Malaga.

Also go to Alcazaba, which is a great 11th century Islamic castle. There’s a really great Roman amphitheater at the base of it as well.

This rooftop bar has an amazing view of both at night, but the beer is overpriced: https://www.yelp.com/biz/la-terraza-de-la-alcazaba-málaga

If you’re like me and you don’t speak Spanish and you get tired of not having anyone new to talk to, Malaga has few “Irish pubs” where you’re guaranteed to at least find some British tourists.

In Seville:

Go to the Cathedral and climb the tower for an amazing view of the city.

Go here for coffee: https://www.yelp.com/biz/torch-coffee-roasters-sevilla It’s a great coffee place run by two adorable American sisters.

This is a great restaurant for tapas, but it’s kind of expensive by Southern Spain standards: https://www.yelp.com/biz/catalina-sevilla-5

If you get the chance to go to Cordoba and Granada, you definitely should. Granada has better sights, in my opinion, but Cordoba is a more fun city. If you like beer and you go to Cordoba, don’t miss this awesome microbrewery: https://www.yelp.com/biz/califa-córdoba
