Why did this have to work?
I have a problem with my dress shirts wanting to escape my pants any given moment. I was told that if I tuck my undershirt into my underwear, then tuck my shirt into my pants, my dress shirt would look 100 and fire emojis.
I tested it today.
I look sexy.
But I don’t feel sexy.

Are you tall/skinny? I have that problem and it’s usually from a poor design in the shoulder area.
I’ve had shirts tailored (it’s really not that expensive) that fit amazingly and don’t try and come untucked throughout the day.

I’m 6'7". Shirt garters are my only hope... so uncomfortable, but they do make me look damn good.

is that elastic, or a loose cloth?

Elastic. I strongly recommend the stirrup style as shown. The alternative style clips to the top of your socks and provides the added benefit of keeping your socks up, but with the very strong possibility of one of those clips coming loose and flying upwards towards your gentleman parts.

lol.
so what does it look like when you sit down? i imagine the elastic just wants to go straight from point A to point B.

I was going to say something similar, mostly that it just sounds like poorly fitted clothing. Doesn’t even need to be tailor, just a step up in quality of the dress shirt seems to make a world of difference for me.

When you sit they attempt to go straight, but are stopped from doing so by your pants (assuming you are wearing pants). They just pull the fabric down at your knees... they’re not too noticeable when you’re sitting.

But I’ve been programmed to not tuck my shirt into my underwear by 100s of days of evolution!

If this is an issue your shirts or pants are not properly sized.

Like anything, if you do it daily, it eventually stops being uncomfortable and starts being second nature.
