GSAAuctions.gov has a number of 2009 Crown Vic’s for sale for low dollars. Reasonable miles as well. Towning package too. Sure the back is set up for a dog, but that is easily fixed.

Have you owned a P71? Robust and dependable, yes, but underpowered and totally boring as well.

Dual exhaust makes it sound good while it’s not going particularly fast. Kinda gutless, really.

Ridiculously easy to modify due to the Mustang world though.
Gearing and the need for a higher rpm stall converter are a must IMO.

If I’m honest, I say that the Vic’s biggest shortcoming is that it’s not a Caprice. The 9C1 Impala outperformed the P71 in every category including fuel efficiency.
Still, the P71 is a robust and dependable car.
