The Iron Pig! My favorite! I’m impressed with the lack of rust.

It’s a little much for me. I’d rather be more inconspicuous.

then stop looking at landcruisers.
Your next car, camry or corolla. and since 1995 they even give you a pillow once you fall asleep driving it.

I will have one someday. The problem will be that they’ll be even more expensive by the time I think I could afford one.

A Land Cruiser is a vehicle that gives warm feelings. A 90s Honda is a vehicle that gives state patrol raging boners.

a 90s honda in the 90s sure, but now anything is faster than a 90s honda

Background: first two cars I had were an integra and a DX civic. The worst part about ownership by far was the people: other civic owners, people who hated civics (plenty it seems) and law enforcement. This was only a few years ago, mind you.
I was once pulled over in town. I asked why I was pulled over, and he said, “We get lots of civics stolen around here.” A week later I was pulled over because my exhaust was loud (it was quiet as a mouse). And another time I was pulled over next month because I looked like I might be smoking marijuana because my “hoodie was up.”

maybe where you live, but here they mostly all rusted away to the big junkyard in the sky.

PNW, rust is isn’t a major issue here. How else could I can drive a 36 year old Japanese pickup?

here in north-western quebec rust is a major factor, and the reason why lots of cars end up in the junkyards with about 150000 kms (less than 100000 miles)on them
