If those grid placings and the whole track are to scale there doesn’t seem to be much room for passing and laps looks like they’d be super short

If it’s like Chicago’s, you may be disappointed if you're with slow people. When I went they limited speeds until everyone was running similar times. It totally changed the racing lines from the beginning to the end concerning where you could carry speed through.

i’m gunna say its bigger than it looks on the diagram. I think it occupies the store where something like a Sears or other store on that scale once was.

Looks like leaving your last job was the best decision you could have made.

theres not a day I shit in here that I dont forget about the time I had to bring my own toilet paper. I still miss that place, it was very relaxed and I really enjoyed the work, but the money and benifits (like better health coverage, work vehicle, TP, and racing) are all far better.

Good I’m glad your happy, sometimes it’s a toss up when you go to a new job but it seems to be working out.

Also your old job had no excuse to not provide TP because that stuff is DIRT cheap at Costco, Sam’s Club, BJs and you get like 100+ rolls.

Tips:

1. Use the brakes as little as possible.

2. APEX EVERYTHING

The number one lesson I learned at my first autocross is that I suck at predicting a line from a course map, its the braking points that kicked my ass

i’m yet to autocross. I’m going ot guess that its a bit different with the carts, but probably still hard to do by map, especially if the map isn;t to scale. I’ve gone to another place once before with gas carts (these are electric) There was a hairpin turn that everyone would really slow down for. i figured out you could to into the turn full throttle, never lift, and cut the wheel as hard a possible. if you did it right, the sliding of the car would slow it down enough to make the turn but it would allow you to pass the other person while they were braking.

Go to the track and scout the cars. Take not of which ones win the most frequently. Make sure you get one of those carts.
