It’s the time of the year that my utility bills go down.

I thought burning hobos to heat the house didn’t work, because hobos are mostly endothermic. Is there a critical mass of Thunderbird to ensure ignition?

YES!!!! Even when it only gets up to 94F during the day and drops down to between 75-80F at night, it helps big time.

The problem is that hobo’s tend to avoid the area eventually, so any benifit is temporary as supply runs out pretty quickly.

Oh, I see - you prefer
free range
hobos. That’s fine as far as it goes, but sometimes you just gotta get them from the big box stores.

Most hobos but not all. Plus they sell this special coating at Home Depot that gets them burning for longer. The older the better. It’s easier to knock them out anyways.
I’ll see myself out

I know, but I really don’t like to. I prefer to know where my hobo’s are sourced from and with big box stores it’s just so hard to tell sometimes.

And mine go up! It will depend on how much wood I want to chop.

Gotta love going to bed with the windows open and the thermostat off.

you live down south then, cause for me this is the time of year that my bills go up. over here just the months of December/January and February cost me about 90% of my utilities for the year. We heat with electricity of here in Quebec.
if it’s like last year we will get many -40s this year too.
It was bellow the freezing point this morning. I had to start my car in advance, and used my heated seats and steering wheel for the 1 time.
I live at the point of the arrow.
we are basically the last cities before the vast tundra of northern quebec. I’m in Rouyn-Noranda

Why does everyone use electric, is there no gas infrastructure there?

We have Hydro Quebec, it’s state owned, and basically have one of the cleanest and cheapest electric systems in the world. we sell electricity to the states too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydro-Qu%…
we have the worlds largest hydro-electric system. so we use what we are best known for.

Thunderbird makes all the difference. Basically turns them into starter logs.
Time to break out the blackjack and duffelbags.

I had no idea! That makes sense. You use a lot of electricity, but its the cheapest option anyway
