I don’t understand the lust for Panerai watches, but I wouldn’t turn one down.

I find them all too big for something this uhm featureless.

Here’s what I have on my wrist most days. Nothing fancy, but I like it.

I have a Wenger homage that I wear a lot so I don’t worry about anything, it’s Swiss and looks nice but not so expensive. I do have an Omega moon watch but I don’t wear it all the time.

I feel the same way - I wouldn’t buy one myself unless it was at one of those prices where I couldn’t afford not to.
That said, one thing I love about this watch is the simplicity; I generally don't like watches with a lot of complications (despite the fact that I'm wearing a chronograph watch today - one of my exceptions because I really wanted it).

I understand, as my Omega is quite old and scratched I use it as a daily workhorse. I also have a Victorinox similar to your Wenger that I wear for sportsing.
