Yea or nay?

I think it works as long as the flake is kept small, otherwize the car just looks like someone spilled glitter on it.

Yay. This is very very similar to an R35 color.

Only looks good when it's clean and swirl free, other than that it looks like crap.

Metallic black is best black. The Fusion’s Tuxedo Black looks amazing in the sun.

Yep. Hard to keep it clean. Used to have a Mazdaspeed 3 with metallic black. I will never buy another black car as a result.

Ford and Honda have really nice metallic black colors. Nissan's gun gray is better than their super black in my opinion.

The upkeep is ridiculous especially if you don’t have a garage and good weather.

Had a garage, but lived in Seattle. Ive had a red, dark blue, brown, and now gray car since the black one and all are worlds easier to keep looking good. I have a friend with a black 997 turbo and he’s so tired of it he’s thinking of putting xpel PPF on the whole thing.

Sounds expensive! A cheaper solution would be to get it properly detailed and sealed with a coating product like cQuartz or similar. The coatings last like 2 years and make it easier to keep your car clean as dirt just rinses off and doesn’t cling.

I’ve got a metallic grey car (Palladium in Mederces talk) and it’s pretty easy to keep clean and hides dirt really well.

Id you own a black car, your gunna have a bad time. They do look good when clean which is pretty much only as your done doing it off then it’s dirty again

My Mazdaspeed3 is metallic black and it’s my third black car. They definitely take a bit more work, but its worth it.
