Saw my first ND Miata in the wild!

Yesterday was the first time that I saw the ND Miata out in the wild and not at a Miata meet or some other sort of event. I was driving towards the Holland Tunnel to get to Hoboken, NJ and in my side view mirror I saw a red ND coming up so I immediately got excited and we exchanged a Miata wave. Great success!

Lol I am really confused by this sign. This must be near Philadelphia based on the 76/376 interchange. But I can't imagine Secaucus and Hoboken being mentioned instead of NYC. Plus the little ninja figure. Is this shopped haha?

I really wanted an NA so that I could have the flippy headlights but they are generally rusty, ricey, beat up, or all of the above in this area. I am much happier with my choice, it has been a very dependable car.

I have yet to see one in the wild. During my test-drive of an ND, we actually passed an NA in the other direction, but the window was up so I wasn’t able to wave! DX

But as an actual recommendation towards the Miata over the others, is that obviously it is going to be much more modern. So sourcing parts is cheaper/easier and you don’t have to lose any modern conveniences like AC and cruise control. Plus I imagine the handling is more refined.
