The Trike is almost ready to ride and I’d like to get some video of her first run. I know the GoPro is the go to but I’m 99.95% certain that I will break that pictured setup where I go.
It has a full suspension but I think vibration would kill any video quality if it’s hard mounted to the Bike.
I may just get a used Hero and try it. Some go pretty cheap and if it breaks, it breaks..
Any ideas?

I have a used contour+ that has a software issue that makes it not like to record if you don’t leave it turned on without formatting the memory card and is finicky in chargig the battery, so I don’t really use it, I’d be willing to sell it pretty cheap, it has the gun form factor that would be good for your purposes.
It’s not this exact camera but its made by the same company and has the same form factor.

Ooh! Interesting.

I like that. That’s the ideal shape. What’s with the formatting issue? Do you have to format anytime you stop? Or just if you shut it down?

If I remember right, (its been a few months since I’ve used it) its only if it turns off

you could do a chest mount. http://www.amazon.com/GoPro-Chest-Mo…

I would give the chest mount a try. For things like biking these work extremely well.

I gave some thought to that. Riding a 3 wheeler isn’t like a Dirt Bike or Quad though. If the Cam is on my chest there’d be a lot of seizure inducing video involving the front tire.

really? I’ve never ridden one. Is the front really bouncy? They say that the chest mounts are more stable than the head mounts. At least the one youtube video about it that I watched did.
