Horrible story.

Just awful. I feel similar to that Indian rape story that involved a tire iron. I just can’t understand such reckless hate.

I felt a profound sense of shame as a man, and anguish that another living being had to suffer such a terrible fate. Now I just feel drained.

Kinja'd!!!

Pretty much like this.

Yeah. I see and hear about so much shit in my job. Just a couple of months ago there was a decapitation. That didn’t faze me one bit. This story? This story made me feel physically sick.

People are mad, man ... and they do mad stuff.

Have a feels frog!

Instead of squirrels, I thought I’d offer the observation that Germany’s Federal Minister of Transportation A. Dobrindt looks like Hardigree’s long-lost brother. :D

Cannot un-read, been on http://openpuppies.com/#0n25aBB since just so I can cope with the terrible-ness of the event.

Yeah. You need beer.

Lots of fucking beer.

Kinja'd!!!

My response after reading that was to go and grab a beer (yes, that is so much beer that the shelves are bowing).

I think it’s because we have already been desensitized with decapitations, also they is a sense of little suffering in that case, whereas this case you know it must have been awful. It is similar to a literal curbstomp, how can people be so awful and cruel?

Argh that’s pretty nasty. It’s not just the imagery it’s the thoughtof a human being acting in such a brutal animalistic way. Upsetting.

Yeah usually I like reading comments on articles. I pretty much skimmed the article and then closed the tab and regretted clicking on it.

I meant this as more of a warning, definitely not a challenge. Somethings are not good for the soul, and that article is one of them I think.

Oh I know it wasn’t.

But I had to be the tough guy

Had to prove I could handle it because Sir_Stig must be a wimp.

I’m going to go home and curl up in my Montego for a bit...It’s one of my happy places.

Yeah I’ve done that myself before, I always regret it. I’ll try and get some work done I guess and listen to something.

That imagery was... jesus fuck. I did not need to read that. No one needs to read that.

Also, thanks, it’s a lot of damn money tied up in there (it goes all the way to the back, there are about 120-130 bottles in there, 32 of them are Firestone Walker).

Kinja'd!!!2

Of course. =)

We all need to drink to forget that. I will say this though, reading that article to get to drink my beer is not worth it.

I haven’t reacted that viscerally to a description of something in months (I wish I could say that it was longer than that). I just need to stop reading about what people do to one another and go back to reading about car specifications and speculation.

Yeah it felt damaging to my psyche.

I always feel bad when I get a bunch of beer because it ends up being like $75 and I’ll only have about half a dozen beers. It’s a shame truly great beer is usually closer to $10/bottle.

Kinja'd!!!1

This is why I almost never drink any of these by myself. If I’m spending north of $10 for a bottle, it’s a rarity that I’m drinking it alone.

I do occasionally run out of “normal” beers though. Which I refuse to actually complain about. It’s the one area of my life that I splurge on, and if I really want a beer, and I have only barleywines, sours, and imperial stouts to choose from, then I’ll make a choice and enjoy the heck out of it. I do regularly pick up a mixed six or two of new or seasonal stuff so that I have something to drink if I want a beer with dinner.

Fuck.

Why?

Why did I do that?

I had no idea what you were talking about, so of course I had to investigate. I now wholeheartedly regret that decision. You know how they say “What has been seen cannot be unseen.”? Well I can’t think of something where this could possibly apply more.

Fucking shit man. I’m gonna home, sit in my chair, and just hold my daughter and pray she never encounters a man like that in her life.

You don’t need to know more.
