Just some pics (: Its a base model with power steering apparently... Didn’t know it could be added in as an option. All original body panels, steelies, and crank windows!

Didn’t know you could get 95’+ base models with the color that originally came on the 94’ M edition cars.

Just did some research and discovered that this color (Montego Blue) was actually reused only on base model 95 - 97 models.... So I guess my friend does have a somewhat rare car!

I was disappointed to learn my base model with crank windows had power steering. Before driving the car I thought the crank windows meant no PS. It was not to be. The steering rack with power is a quicker rack though...more shuffling hands with the manual.

Looks cherry! I’d swap in a 4.3 Torsen Diff and a hard dog roll bar and call it a day! Too bad he couldn’t hold onto the 240 also....unless it was a basketcase :)

For daily driving the power rack is nicer, and it has comparatively good steering feel. It also seems that most of the track cars I’ve seen use de-powered auto steering racks rather than the manual ones.

Haha he loved it, but it was a 1977 280Z model and we live in SoCal, so basically any sort of mods to it would make it smog illegal. He also wanted a car he could take to AutoX events and not be afraid of something breaking lol.

Oh so base models do come with power steering? That’s such an odd combo to me. My friend originally wanted manual steering as well, but I’m sure he’ll like the power steering more once he takes some tight corners and starts AutoX-ing!
