You end up with the epicness that became known as the “Battle Jeep” at Mount Panorama.

With some tuning the Battle Jeep achieved 86ft 60-0 stops and could actually turn. Shifting the brake bias to around 60% rearward has made huge differences in all of my cars.

Forza 6 makes such good photos, I love the headlight effects.

(I’m the idiot in the white corvette)

Even dumb photos are pretty cool.

(1200hp Ford Deluxe on stock, but widened rear, tires)

I’ve been playing so much. If anyone wants to add me my gamertag is Bman7667.

Just out of curiosity what brake pressure are you using? I’ve dropped most of my cars to around 80% but the triggers are so touchy I still lock up pretty often :|

On that one 101% I believe.

Interesting, and does the rear brake bias make the car unstable at all? I remember in Forza 4 having too much rear bias made the car a bit oversteery on corner exit after releasing the brakes. Sorry for the questions but I’m a total noob at tuning.

I am too. Not really, I’ve figured out that the game doesn’t raise the PI very much for really wide rear tires, so I can push the bias back to utilize all that extra rubber. The immediate updating in the tuning menu is how I’ve been “figuring out” setups.

I’ll have to try that out next time I’m on, thanks for the info.

No problem, I’m just trying things until they work.

that’s the one thing that annoys me the most is how easy it is to lock the brakes compared to Fourza, had to reduce my brake pressure below 100% rather than the usual 150-160% I used in Fourza

Top Geat top tip: under controller settings go to ‘advanced options’ or whatever it is ‘x’ does and change your trigger deadzones to the full range (0-100). For some reason the game automatically sets it to start at 25 instead of 0 so you only get to use 75% of the trigger pull. It makes a huge difference.

But yeah even with that changed the XB1 controller is still way too sensitive. I don’t know why they decided to go all PS4 and get rid of all mechanical resistance in the triggers, it just feels so vague and lifeless.

that’s a great tip, surprising how much of a difference that has made

I bought one just for FM6, which is barely justifiable. I wish all the Oppos could have them too.

Update:

In fast cars, S750ish it makes them very unstable. My FF is a nightmare.

Seriously, I don’t know why they had that as default settings. I’m honestly thinking of buying a new controller or wheel just to not have to deal with the sketchy braking lol.

Probably doesn’t help it’s a very heavy car as well. Have you tried any racecars? I was messing around with a Viper GTLM and found the brakes work best at about 75% power and stock bias, not sure if that’s exclusive to that car or what.

I switched to the SLR. All the brakes are so inconsistent. I’m beginning to tire of it upgrading the opponents almost exclusively power upgrades.

Also, kinda wish they’d bring back qualifying so that the 1st place car can’t run away and hide before I can get a clean lap.

I would love to get a steering wheel but can’t see myself spending that much on a gaming accessory add that money could be better spent on my actual car

I find it fun and a challenge to chase down 1st, I use a dare of start in 20th and get 15% extra credit for winning

Same, until I got into later races on unbeatable difficulty. Then the gap was too much to overcome, even if I’m 2-3 seconds faster a lap.

I’m not quite at unbeatable yet might give it a couple tries then may go back if it's that bad
