Hadn’t heard that one before...I guess we can assume it will be VM Motori ? Their engines are already in the new Jeep Grand Cherokees and Rams and, get this, the new Maserati Ghibli. Can you say versatile or what?

Looks like Cummins got an extension on their contract with Chrysler. I guess VM Motori isn’t quite ready to do all the heavy lifting on the high-end diesel truck front. That or FCA didn’t want cummins customers to start going to other manufacturers, a couple of whom would absolutely love to break into the lucrative HD diesel market in the US.

Cummins actually has contracts now with Nissan and Toyota, but the most powerful engines of course will be going to Chrysler.
