Kinja'd!!!

Actually, I don’t have a problem spelling. I did get booted out of a spelling bee in the first round back in the 5th grade, but ever since then I’ve never forgotten how to spell the word ‘journey’ (I forgot the ‘e’ - oops).

My problem comes in whilst typing. I don’t know if this is common or not, but as I’m typing I’ll sometimes start with the letter that makes the sound of the word instead of the correct letter. For example, I’ll go to type the word ‘one’, but instead of typing an ‘o’ I’ll type ‘w’. Similar problem with words that begin with ‘c’ where I will accidentally start typing an ‘s’; I’m sure there are others, but those are the biggies.

I always catch it, but it just seems somewhat weird. Am I the only one that does this? It has to be fairly common, right? Right?

Like typing Ov instead of Of? I think it’s a sign of getting old.

You’re fine as long as you don’t start going all CAPS or using exclamation points in excess!!!!!!!!!

(I got knocked out of an eighth grade Spelling Bee because of a southern accent. Nugget and Nougat sounded so similar!! wtf?)

‘Of’ - that’s another good example.

Getting old, eh? I was afraid of that. I thought I was too quick, but you’re telling me I’m slowing down...

Maybe there are some drugs that can fix this. I don’t mind being drugged...

I think 500mg of Bisacodyl three times a day should do it.

Hey, in 3rd grade I got out in the first round on “boil” (“biol”). I redeemed myself by winning it all in seventh grade.

As occasional user of said substance there was no need to look it up. My answer was purely in jest given the function of that medication, but I suspect that dosage would cause mass evacuation of every organ in the abdominal cavity.
