Saw a Morgan Aero 8 while at work. I know I shouldn’t have taken the picture, but I was at a stop light and it’s a freaking Morgan! In Canada! Also saw two Morgan +8s roll by but no SR20 sadly. The plate on the Aero is a California plate so that explains it.
I want a Morgan so bad.

The Aero 8 was sold in North America for a time, it was designed to pass US crash test regulations. I think they had to stop selling here when airbag standards changed and they couldn’t maintain a waiver.

Legal? Probably. There’s 12 authorized Morgan importers in the US, according to the Morgan website.
Two of the 12 are in California, Isis Imports (those guys are probably feeling very awkward as of lately) in San Fransisco and Morgan West in LA.
Given the proximity to California, it could have also come from Brighton Motorsports in Scottsdale, Arizona and then registered in California.

Well, it appears to still be registered in California, so if the owner’s just visiting Canada, then yes. For the most part though, Transport Canada maintains a high level of reciprocity with the US, CMVSS and FMVSS standards differ mostly in minor details, so almost all new cars approved for sale in the US are automatically legal in Canada. That doesn’t go both ways though, so no Micras or Orlandos allowed in the US.

Really. That seems strange about the Micro and the Orlando.
