It was ridiculous, even as a Chelsea fan. But my primary sport almost always punishes the one retaliating so I can’t say I was all that surprised.
Still some serious over officiating, but the lesson learned seems to be ignore any provocation from here on out.

Costa should have been off, no doubt about it, but Gabriel was stupid for retaliating, especially right in front of the ref. Cazorla earned his double yellows fair and square.

Absolutely, and in the end got what he deserved, three game ban, not likely to satisfy most Gunner fans, but it’s the best they can do after the fact. Chelsea don’t really need him, and when he behaves the way he does it worries me that he is still there. Good player, bad attitude.
