I said I was done for the day, but this is neat.

1961 Dodge Phoenix.

Kinja'd!!!

Described as a barn find, but it’s his own barn.

Kinja'd!!!

I’ve never seen one of these. I really like the lines.

Say’s it has rust. Could be a nightmare, but for $2500 it might be worth looking at.

‘61 Dodge has some of the best “what were they thinking” amazeballs wacky fins of any car. Although the sum total “WHAT THE MAJESTIC FUCK” of a ‘62 is higher.

To be fair, that’s the mid-size. The full sizes continued to be batshit through ‘62 as well. Hell, the whole Chrysler corporation lineup -Dodge, Plymouth, DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial- was insane from about ‘59 to ‘62.

I’d say, from the way the body looks in the OP’s photos, the thing deserves a restoration. There aren’t many left, and I’m pretty sure a good bit of rust is par for the course with these things anyway. Get a good one while they’re still around!
