Laptop speakers just cut out. Nibby come fix it it’s a T400

Battery power or plugged in? Have you restarted the computer? In your “Devices” Control Panel, is there a yellow triangle over the “speaker” section?

Both, yes, no. Device manager shows current driver, tried system restore, there’s still sound if I plug in headphones so it can’t be a sound card issue. Gotta be hardware.

I do actually have a spare T400 lying around, so I’ve got working speakers I can put in, but again I have no patience and my fingers are not exactly delicate.
