This ‘64 Galaxie.
The saggy-bottomed old gal in red heels you see above belongs to my good friend/co-worker, Jeff. The car has a pretty cool story, but you can wait for the future review piece I’m going to try to convince him to let me write for more on that. Or you can just check out it out on

. While you’re over there, shoot him an email and buy it why don’t ya?
I’ll tell ya, you don’t need a home gym if you buy this thing. The clutch pedal is pretty damn stiff, and that’s nothing in comparison to making this land yacht deviate from a straight path.
My brief few minutes driving around the business park were filled with smiles and laughter from myself and another co-worker, that was taking it for a spin too. It was a lot of fun, but I’m not sure I could live with something like this on a day-to-day basis. As you can see, it’s a very different car from what I am used to.
He’s thinking about taking it to an autocross, but unfortunately it will most likely be on the Saturday that I’m doing a DE at Road America. I have a feeling the corner workers on his heat are going to groan every time they see that thing pull up to the start line. Hopefully I can convince him to take it to another one when I’m available.
Look for a more in-depth review coming in the not too distant future!

Lovely car. Looks like a lot of fun for him and whoever had it back in the day.
I have a small, but growing, bug to get a cruiser of some sort. We ran the Powertour a couple of years ago with my Evo, but it would be fun to do it in a period car. Only thing that is keeping me from going nuts is garage space. I need a couple of more bays.

That’s awesome! There’s a guy at our office with a 5.0 Foxbody who does the Powertour. Seems like a great time.
You sound like you’re better off than me. I’m street parking my FR-S in the north suburbs of Chicago right now. :/ If I get a garage at my next place it will definitely get filled with a project car. haha

The tour was huge fun. A neat experience and everyone treated us well even though I had a rice rocket. Actually, both I and the couple of guys with STis had good conversations with the hot rod types. Also, they drive some cool back roads.
I’m guessing I’m a little further along in life than you as all. We are on our second house, on an acre, so there is the two car garage with the DDs in it (Evo and Mini), the old beater truck lives out side with the two Lemons cars. My wife and I vowed that the DDs would always have a spot in the gagage as we both came from families where neither of our parents could, park their cars inside due to garages full of crap.
