Alexander Rossi will be displacing Roberto Merhi at Manor-Marussia Ferraei and will be racing in 5 of the remaining 7 F1 events. He will be in the 3 remaining American rounds, Japan, and Singapore (this weekend).

F1fanatic’s Keith Collantine said that this route of starting 5 F1 races in 2015 actually precludes Rossi from needing to gain a superlicence by the points system

(Starting 5 F1 races) basically gives Rossi two bites of the cherry to be eligible for a seat next year. He needs to keep his second in the GP2 points standings in order to have enough superlicence points ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and stands to gain 40). However by starting five F1 races this year he’ll be allowed to return next year when the superlicence rules come into force as !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
