This is a Wagon! kinda...someone is making a new wagon...ish. with funky rear doors.

A Wagon.... sortof. but hey to be a real wagon it would need to be eve longer, and longer means bigger, and bigger Mini is a bad thing! but hey it give a option to those who say “I like the funky styling and what not of a Mini, but I need four doors.” now they don’t have to buy a crossover/CUV to get four doors on a Mini, now they can get a WAGON!.

My biggest beef with Mini isn’t that they make something like this, its the fact that the smallest vehicle they have is still not much smaller than my mom’s Lexus RX 350. For a company with the name Mini and the design/heritage behind the name there is a serious problem. They make good cars but there is no Mini left in Mini. I remember the first time I stumbled across one of the new ones, I was curious what the hell it was and was shocked to see the mini badge on the back. For the money I would rather buy a BMW, BRZ or WRX.

Seriously? This is the biggest thing they got, and its 3 whole inches longer than a vw golf. This is not a large car, and everything else is smaller. Their styling makes them look larger, but they are small cars

I think people would complain more about 911 being more of a GT now, if there wasn’t the Cayman/Boxster beneath it. Along the same lines, IMO Mini needs a small car again. AKA make the damn Rocketman already.

Size is relative and I think Mini has packed on a bit to much fat. You think the Mini is small? Go ahead and think that but I think that it has gotten too big and starting to go too high in price considering much of the tiers I would want I could obtain elsewhere for cheaper.

I won’t argue on price, and value, but mini was always a boutique brand. But a 2 door Cooper is 15 inches smaller than a fr-s. That’s a lot

It does kinda look like a Flex, at least from the side profile, but only because a Flex kinda looks like a Mini.

I’m not a fan, but my reasons for rather firmly disliking all of BMW’s MINIs actually have relatively little to do with their size; it’s the design philosophy, and how it clashes so thoroughly with that of the original, that bothers me.

I don’t understand why anyone on this site who doesn’t have my very specific prejudice against these cars would dislike the new Countryman, though, aside from that divisive bum. It’s very ‘Jalop’.
