Dad was on his way to Atlanta and was rear-ended by a semi. He’s fine, but the car is not so fine, the transmission tunnel has likely been shoved forward and the gears are grinding. Probably a total loss.
2 Miatas totalled in 2 years. Must be a curse.

Sorry to hear that and glad that you dad is ok. That is what matters. On the plus side it looks like you have a good donor for an Exocet.

Oh no! That particular special edition is one of my favorites - the brown interior and deep gray paint is really nice. Whatever you do, find a way to keep the interior. The brown parts are rare and valuable.

As someone who recently (finally) bought a Miata- that’s a terrible sight to see and I couldn’t imagine how I’d feel in the same place.

The Nardi leather has shrunk on my ‘02 SE...$500 per seat to replace it. *cries*
I have this exact same colour combo. It IS gorgeous. I don’t have those wheels anymore, because El Paso roads are the worst, and I cracked a rim on a pothole.

Oh man, just from the pictures I had thought everything was fine. Looks like new bumper and trunk lid and you were good to go! But yeah if the trans is shot from that, who knows what else got messed up. On a side note, that interior looks so nice. Ya know if you end up parting it out, I would certainly be interested in some of it =)

The adjuster said that it is straddling the border between total/not-total. If we do a buyback, I’ll offer the parts on here first.
