If I was rich enough I would have Lincoln design and build me all the concept cars they were too afraid to put into production.

It’s called a Lincoln by Vignale. It was shown as a show car in 1987, and was designed by Lincoln in order to go head to head with the then new Cadillac Allante. Ultimately they canceled it when it turned out the Allante wasn’t as big a success as they thought, so they didn’t want to lose money on something overly ambitious. Curbside Classic has more over here. And there’s also a Wordpress article I found detailing a bit more.

Awesome I have never heard of it. Probably good it did not go into production considering how poor the Allante went over.
