I think this is a silly assumption. It’s really a bunch of other assumptions rolled into one. He’s assuming all sorts of things about the size and power of electronics and the development of AI. Of course he’s going to be wrong.

Yeah I guess. He’s still not quite right though, it seems to imply they entirely replaced non-driverless cars by 2015 - that’s probably a decade or two off.
