On a vaguely-related note I’ve stopped going to Foxtrot Alpha just to avoid the stupid political dick-measuring that always takes place in the comments. It’s always uncalled for and irrelevant and it just ruins any chance of reasonable discussion. That dick in particular is always starting shit.

No not you him lol. Yeah I’ve noticed Kinja’s started doing that, not sure why. It’s a good thing they added the new interface, that was definitely the thing that needed the most addressing.

That does suck, because Tyler’s work is great. There are a few commenters who are guaranteed to stir shit there, him in particular.

Definitely, dude is by far and away the best writer Jalopnik has. I know FA is basically his personal sub-blog but I’d love to see what he could do if he were given his own site and could write those huge pieces all the time without deadlines.
That is just a symptom of the whole Gawker network though: come for the content, avoid the cancer that is the comment section at all costs.

Yup. Maybe with some of the new changes under King George we’ll get to see more full length pieces. I think Patrick excels in that format as well.

I’d love to see that too, as entertaining as their shorter posts are it seems the best articles they’ve written have been the long-form, investigative ones like the SuperReplicas saga.
