Welcome to the 13th round of Formula Oppo, the fantasy game that’s not for football, has no cash prize, no role playing, and at the rate that participation is dropping soon to no longer be an MMO.

Previously on Formula Oppo: Mercedes rolled out their 2016 spec power unit and let Hamilton have fun with it. He did. Even with his Ballghazi grade tires he managed to Vettel Vettel and won by a staggering 25.042 seconds. Rosberg was celebrating his new baby with a blown motor and left the race with only a few laps to go. Massa just got the better of bad luck Bottas to claim 3rd. Kimi stalled on the start and made his way from last to 5th by the end of the race.

This week we head east to the land of debauchery and douchebagery for a night race in the tight streets. Maldonado will probably eat the wall, but when is the question. Will the mercs run away with the race? Will the other Mercedes powered cars get that lovely 2016 PU or will they receive a 2016 CLA diesel? Can Kimi come back to greatness or will he suffer more mechanical issues so that Vettel will remain the numero uno Ferrari driver? Will Honda finally admit that they can’t into turbo V6? We’ll find out soon.

Everyone’s cursing Maldo, and I’m all like “Have you seen Crashtor around Singapore?” I like making fun of the guy as much as everyone, but he’s great on street circuits and has historically shown very well in Singapore. In 2013, he even almost managed to drag the worst Williams ever into the points. I’m calling a top six finish for him this weekend unless he has mechanical failure.

Yeah, samesies. My soft spot hardened a bit with the bullshit they pulled earlier in the year trying to keep Manor from returning, but I still like them more than most teams and The Hulk and Checo are both great. I think that Perez really got shafted by McLaren and I’d love to see him get a second chance at a top team.
