While avoiding someone doing something stupid today my wife curbed both passenger side ties on the Evo. Took a big chunk out of the front sidewall and tore the rear sidewall. She didn’t notice she was loosing air. We were lucky to notice when leaving from dinner and saw it flat. So, I get to buy a bonus 4 tires this weekend. They were only a year old. Luckily, she is safe and we can take care of the car.

You have a new set + 2 full sized spares.

Glass half full.

Yep, pretty much. I will need the new ones to be about half worn before I can use the ares though.

You’re also lucky you only damaged a consumable. Damaging wheels or body is much, much more expensive to replace than tyres.

No doubt. A friend of mine lost his Evo when hit hit a pot hole, bent a rim and had a slow leak. Lost the rear on a bend and wrecked the car. She is fine and the car is on new rubber. Just a bit of financial pain is all.
