Janet and I have decided (tentatively) to take the BooRoo to the track tomorrow. Sandia Speedway in Albuquerque. A 1.7 mile road course. They have a thing called Time Attack. It consists of 5 laps, 1 warm up, 3 go for it and 1 cool down. $10, and you can buy as many as you want.
She wants to try to improve her skills and I want to see what mine are. Should be fun. Not the greatest car to take, but it does handle pretty good with better shocks and front strut brace and AWD. And it is her DD so some experience is good.
After that, The dirt track with the sprints. Should be a good day.

Is it a regular thing, or a special deal?

Once a month through October. Starts in March. The owner has really tried to keep prices down and bring people in. It seems to be working.

That’s awesome, it’s cool to see a track owner who is trying to get people out to the track, not just trying to get as much money as possible.

It is. The current owner bought it about 2 years ago and lowered the admission prices by a lot. I seems to be doing well and the attendance is good. People want to see racing at a good facility without paying an arm and a leg. They have a road course, a 1/2 mile paved oval, 2 dirt ovals. I only go there 4-5 times a season and it is usually packed.
