What if I 12v Cummins swapped the Dart? Dart in question:

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I’m also considering an m50 swap. M50 because cheap and pretty reliable without VANOS. If I LS swap the e34 I could use the drive train from that in the Dart.

Dang! I think the 12v weighs as much as that Dart.

If you want to freak people out find an old Detroit 3-53t.

Or Turbo the /6.

A 413/426 Max wedge would look pretty cool under the hood.

That’s probably the most likely choice. I can’t find a small enough carb anywhere though.

Id also have to find one. I’m not really into v8s.

Turbo /6 is the actual plan.

I don’t know what you need but is a Solex 28 small enough?

Whatever you end up doing I approve. The M50 swap would probably make more sense than the 12v because the 12v is so heavy; and 4bt engines are getting hard to find and more expensive.

Well I currently have a carter 1 barrel something but I feel like it’s not worth setting up a 1 barrel for boost, might as well be a 4 barrel but they’re all like 700 cfm and I need like 390 or 400 to work well with the 6.

Then why the hell would you LS swap your E34? Why not S50/54?

The problem would be that half of the engine would be above the fenders.

You say that like it’s a problem.

I have no plans on actually doing that. And an LS makes more power and is more reliable than just about any M engine. Not to mention a s54 is like $3000 and and I’d do the power for pennies LS2 or just buy a LT1 or LM for like $1000.

I’d probably turbo both cars before I’d get a v8.

What power for pennies doesn’t tell you is that you have to change absolutely everything else along with the LS. If I have to go through that much trouble, I’d rather have the S54 with some boost.

I’d rather just have an m3 than taking the engine out and putting it in an older chassis. It would be cool but not worth the trouble.

A lot of people forget how darn heavy the 6BT is. It would overhwlem theat poor Dart of yours. I’d go for a smaller 4BT or go oddball with a 2-stroke Detroit 471

If your going to do this I really would consider a 4bt instead of a 6bt. With a 4bt in the dart you will still have to cut the hood to fit it in there.
