Last week the whole merged group blog creation that !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! was up in the air as far as the functionality.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I had merged a blog using this method (only with two new sets of credentials) near the end of august and found that I couldn’t add my main account or anyone else’s for that matter as a member to the merged blog. Today I went to check on the other account just for the hell of it and alas the add member feature was there again. So I quickly made myself a member and then the owner.

I’ll share my findings to let !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! know with all of you here:

Merged/Group Blog Update: I just checked again on an attempted merged group blog I made a couple weeks ago and it allowed me to add members where before it did not. It appears either the email I sent to kinja help (along with probably many other users) worked or the functionality just came back as a part of this latest update.

**Disclaimer: I also sent an email a couple weeks ago to kinja help and have no idea whether they switched the settings of my merged blog just for me, though I highly doubt it.

I also feel like there is a joke to be made about group kinja blogs, but can’t seem to think of one... Blorgy? Bukinja?

You’re right, and it works. I did the same thing in August, and it didn’t work then. However, with me it works on the wrong account. I can add members to the subblog I sacrificed and used a shitty name for, I cannot add members to the subblog I wanted to use.

Sounds like you might have merged from the wrong account, something I also did once accidentally. The second time I made sure I read through gamecat’s post like 10 times before pulling the trigger. Hopefully your url isn’t too useless as I think you should be able to rename the blog itself (similar to changing the visible username but not the domain of your personal kinja page). Live and learn I suppose.

Wait, you can’t change the URL anymore? I went from whosits.kinja.com to theteapotparty.kinja.com and whosits to I’m a little teapot, short about a year ago.

I’m not sure but the domain thing is always greyed out on my personal account settings as well as any of the blogs i’m the owner of

It's dependent on the username, which you can change.
