Nice work!
Don’t mind me asking, but how’d you learn to draw so well, and what gear do you use?

Pretty good stuff. A few perspective/proportional issues (wheel ellipses mostly). But nice stuff...what program did you use?

This looks awesome! Especially the 3rd one!!! The 2nd one is somewhat too much of a hatchback probably come to think of it.

Yeah, good modern interpretation of the Simca’s face. I like what he did with the chrome trim. I’d like to see him try it as a 3 box with the engine in back.

I totally dig those headlights: Round lights with what seems to some octagonish trim. Why don’t you ask him for the 3-box-engine in the back layout? I’m sure he delivers!

Yeah, me too. I love that octagonal surround.
Ok, I’ll ask him. You start looking for investors.

Haha. You’re obsessed. Good thinking. She’d look good in the commercials, too. I’ll dig up the Van Diens info. and see what I can find out. I think Caspar likes cars.

I always assumed it was Casper , not Caspar . Better check that if you’re planning on contacting him in writing.
What did he drive back then, you must have seen that!

Oh, good eye. It is Casper. Just like the ghost. I don’t remember his car, actually. I think a Mercedes, but I’m not sure of the model. I think his wife had a Bentley.

Doesn’t America need a new real-life soap like the Kardashians, Osbournes and Jessica Simpson have/had? Featuring our princess and CaspEr? Or you could write a nice romcom for them?

The Lifetime Network. They’re a channel for lonely women. A lot of movies about women either being kidnapped, or meeting scruffy, but sensitive men. I couldn’t find it on Youtube, but it must be out there somewhere.

Good thing I don’t have that over here otherwise the mrs. would have kidnapped our tv. Or at least the remote.
All I found was this:
Can’t even find it on news servers so it’s pretty obscure. Katarina looks awesome nevertheless!

Your wife shouldn’t be lonely, though.
She does look good, doesn’t she? I don’t blame you for being obsessed. Classy lady. I forgot how many kids they have. They came to the movie set a couple of times and they would take over the place.
Jobjoris

Yes she does. Aged well. Classy. Even after giving birth to their 12 children. So I can imagine them taking over the set.

They were actually really friendly, well-behaved kids. There was just so many of them. They were everywhere. They seem like a nice, fun family, which is not always the case for people like that.

I would be okay with her staying in my room. She may have her own plane, so she might be up for that.

If she still has her own plane she probably would mind sharing that room with you. She probably wants the hole floor withe her own bathroom.

Don’t you have 3 floors in that place? You’d have one to spare for the princess. The other princess since you already have one.

How does the little princess like the sandbox? That sounds like fun. I remember when my parents house was like that. Why is there no floor now?
Jobjoris
> Jonee
09/25/2015 at 14:25 | 1 |
There was a wooden floor (base/top, crawl space underneath). As I’m breaking through a wall this room gets connected to a room with a concrete floor. So this is going to be all concrete and heated underfloor.
Josje is at my wife’s parent for a few days so she won’t be lost in all this mess. She was laughing when the floor went out though.

She’s funny. It really does sound like the Money Pit now. You can almost recreate this scene.

At one time I did. I actually saw the contractor’s leg coming through the ceiling. But I probably mentioned that before. It was just a leg and the space surrounding it though.
Jonee

I think you did mention that before. That might be what gave us the “money pit” nickname. At least it wasn’t his head. That would have been disturbing.

Haha, indeed it probably was! Well, he promised to have the floor ready to be tiled this week. The kitchen should be ready today. I hope, I’m fed up with those pizzas.

I could eat pizza every day. How is Dutch pizza? Are there Italians in the Netherlands?
Jobjoris
> Jonee
09/29/2015 at 03:55 | 1 |
There are many Italians, Turkish and Egyptian Pizzerias in the Netherlands. Opposite of the money-pit there’s a nice restaurant La Cucina Italiana (French owner!) I used to go to very, very often. Not for Pizzas though as it is a somewhat up-market place. So you get a Pizza with many things on top, 13 euros each. And a good Pizza is not just that. Keep it simple.
Therefor I’ve been going to a nice, totally Italian place called Dolce e Salato for ages now. The owner, Franco, is a Napolitan guy that married a Dutch girl like 30 years ago. One pizza is simple, 6 euros and even when I’m in Italy it’s hard to find a Pizza as good as his! He doesn’t get an A for entourage/location/styling but he does for food. I go there at least every wednesday.

Turkish and Egyptian pizzerias? That’s weird. Although, in Boston we had a bunch of Greek pizzerias. They were lousy. I agree about simple pizza. Bell peppers and onions is just perfect for me. That sounds like my kind of Italian joint. That’s like what we have in New York and New Jersey. You can walk in any hole in the wall and get great food. In L.A., you have to spend a little money to get good Italian food and pizza.

The Greeks still have their own kitchen so we’ve got quite a few Greek restaurants. That 3rd christmas day we ALWAYS go to a Greek. And enter while shouting “Cyprus for the Turks!”. Hilarious. At least, we think so ;-)
It’s wednesday so I’m going there tonight. Last weeks I got there at least 3 times a week due to the kitchen.

Haha. That is funny. You wouldn’t get away with saying anything pro-Turkey in my neighborhood. The Armenians would stone you. I’ve always liked Greek food. All that flaky dough and spinach and cheese. Mmmm.
How was dinner? When are they giving you the kitchen again?
Jobjoris

Well, the Greeks don’t really look that pleased as well. And we have a huge table somewhere in the back of the restaurant. Because we’re pretty loud on every 27th. They’ve got a “Hermes-menu” with lots of meat, of course we order that being a “Herpes-menu”. God I love the 27th of December.
Dinner was great, thanks. The kitchen is ready now, just the lightswitches and power outlets. Totally vintage feel to it.
Now the sandpit. It’s become even worse yesterday as they started removing the wall...
God I love home improvement...
