So I’ve been tossing around the idea of a project for awhile, something different that I can wrench on and get dirty with. Originally it was going to be a beetle because that was an easy find.
I’ve got the spot in the garage, the tools, some of the time, and two other vehicles to do daily driving tasks.
This just came up locally; 1974 Hilux, 120K km, 2L 18R-C, auto, ran when parked 6 years ago - lol.
Basically it’s the same price as the Bajarack I’ve been planning on the Tacoma.. Decisions, decisions..
Anyone know about parts availability? The 18R is the same as the Celica, the body looks straight and relatively rust free, (my 86 would have dreamed about bedsides like that!).. missing the front bumper, and looks like the bottom of the fenders may be soft.
