The school has really gotten on board with us, and it’s been very helpful. We jumped 50+ spots this year too so I think they’re gonna keep the money flowing as long as we keep delivering. This was so much fun though. Campus PD was super cool and were with us all 14 hours of filming.

Yea, Michigan is the only one we have attended. They might have budgeted for Lincoln this year but I’m not sure, I’m not in school anymore so I’ve been out of the loop

If you want to work in the automotive sector, stay with it. Even if you don’t it’s still great to have on your resume. You won’t get that kind of real world experience anywhere else, and the employers notice that. Our suspension lead from ‘14 is working for Chrysler in the advanced concepts division, and our 2nd place overall business team leader from last year is working at VW corporate

WRONG! Haha. If you’re really involved it’s going to be a ton of work. We had a relatively small team, but the core group of about 10-15 people who were constantly putting in the effort this year probably put anywhere from 30-60+ hrs a week (our president was a senior, and that added with the club he averaged about 4 hours of sleep a night for the entire school year). I was Ocean Engineering but I’ve decided school is not for me right now. BUT I learned how to make, and that has possibly landed me a job as a machinist.

Lol damn...yea we had a couple of spare mufflers that we repacked until one barely passed. I ended up driving around for two hours looking for a stock muffler in case the backups didn’t work...

We were actually shaking down the car to get air out of the cooling system after changing the engine the night before/ day we were supposed to leave for our third competition, Lincoln, NB
