Welding is now done. The SHO is now cancer free. Next steps, safety, insurance, ownership, etest, and sticker. In that order because Ontario is retarded.

Which gen? I owned a gen 1 and a gen 2 (both manual), they are both the #1 and #2 funnest cars I’ve ever owned.

Yes I am. Restoring might be a strong word though. I’m towing it to a garage to get the last safety now.

It is in fact a manual Gen One. It’s a 91 SHO+. The previous owner massaged the engine a bit too. He showed me a dyno sheet that said it was good for 300hp at the rubber.

It went well. It’s cancer free now. It still needs some body work of course. Couple dents, filler around the new metal things like that.

Mine was a blast. Former owner has auto crossed it and thought his daughter would want it for college but she didn’t. It had 250k hard miles when i sold it to make room for my BMW. Bought a gen 2 a year later, but Walmart forgot to fill it with new oil and totaled it. Assholes.

Damn. This one will hit lap days and auto X next year.

The previous owner was an avid racer so he’s done a whole bunch of things to it already. Quaife diff, new cams, high flow y pipe, Bigger throttle bodies.
