I’m in college, and as part of the car club, obviously i must get rid of the trash can currently hanging off my truck and get something more fitting for 6 liters of 13 mpg power.
The truck is a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD with the 6 liter gas engine, you may rember it from the Big Freakin Dent posts. Youll also notice my latest efforts to keep the enviroment green on my antenna.
Im only looking to replace my muffler, because im more concerend with having a good noise the actual power increase (because muh GL80). The pipes are 3 inches in and 3 inches out.
I like a growly raspy sound, as opposed to a deep bellow, but as long as the drone isnt too bad, and its not too loud (looking at you 10 series (im leaving the cats on so that should help)) Im interested
My current choice is the Borla XR1
I was also looking at Gibson, but i cant find any reveiws on single mufflers, but i have heard a lot of good things about their catback systems, but id really rather not spend over $200
Goddamn it kinja

Magnaflow, my dad had a gibson system on his f150 and it rotted out on him. Search the youtubes for videos of systems you might want.

I had a Flowmaster 50 Series Deltaflow on my ‘03 Ram Hemi and I loved it. Sounded deep and throaty without being obnoxious or droning.

Quite. For those situations when you want your exhaust volume to be of the barely legal variety.

Look at Magnaflow RV mufflers. Some are straight thru but not Rednek like Glasspacks.

I was listening to them, and they have a roar and a rumble, but no top end fizz, which was kind what i was looking for
