Well I had planned to drive out to Pt. Reyes with my dog today after finishing up on some things with the car, but my friend discovered the real issue. Sooo, I always knew my DCOE 45s were a bit too big, they came with the car, it seems like I need some new 40s. Too much fuel is going through on one and one plug is fuckeded, rebuilding a carb that we know is kind of big seems dumb. Soooooo, yeah it looks like we are going to sell the 45s on Ebay and buy a triple set of 40s since everything is already set up for them. I considered the new Z Therapy SUs but it’s more work and the triples sound better. I only need the carbs so it might be $1200, I can sell the 45s too. I am going to be busy at work so I guess I wouldn’t be driving it this week anyway.

I’d say you probably made the right call. Spending a bunch of time making something work is a bigger waste than giving up (or in your case selling) the old part and buying the right one.
Also, you have rippling forearms.

The 40s are better for my use and I knew that. Now one 45 needs to be rebuilt. I have everything in place and 40s are compatible with what I have. New carbs will be nice and sharp. That’s my friends arm. He’s skinny, I’m way more buff, he doesn’t even lift bro.
