I want to make a group blog for a local car group. Does anyone know if the account merge loophole still works?

The last time I checked (about a month and a half / two months ago), it did not, and they did not intend to fix it. But there has been talk of the ability to generate group blogs period.
If you find out anything more, can you please let me know?

as of last week they did not work, not sure why, and when I asked kinda help they pretended not to know that it stopped...

I’ll call Kinja on Tuesday and post the best answer I can get. It seems the account merge process has become non-permanent as I tried it and I could disconnect my twitter based account. I’ll see what I can find out. Hopefully we’ll get actual group blogs sometime soon.

Merged/Group Blog Update: I just checked again on an attempted merged group blog I made a couple weeks ago and it allowed me to add members where before it did not. It appears either the email I sent to kinja help (along with probably many other users) worked or the functionality just came back as a part of this latest update.

Did you already merge a blog? If you did you might not have to bother with creating another just go back to the old one

I think I attempted it after they removed the support for that as I can connect and disconnect my twitter based account from a google based one at will. It seems like I’ll just have to wait until they actually bring support for group blogs for real

The support was gone when I tried and only came back recently when I logged in via firefox rather than chrome if that helps at all
