You work at myrthroamer, eh? Do you know Tim?

Lol I dunno. I really wanted to work here so I just showed up with two applications :D
You never know! They are doing mild expansion at the moment. (only 35 people so any hiring is expanding I guess)

I haven’t yet met a Tim, but I can guess what part he works in. I’m new and I am a bit secluded to my work so haven’t truly met all the guys yet. Is he in woodworking? Electrical maybe?

Who needs Earthroamers when you can have a Sportsmobile?
![]() 09/04/2015 at 22:35 |

You work for Earthroamer????? They make some sick rigs!

“Two applications” sure..
Oddly, a Denver company is advertising in Chicago.

Those are sweet!
A little different though. The Earthroamer can last out wherever you want to go for quite a while. 1000 mile range with 85 gallon freshwater tank. Also a bunch more amenities inside (satellite tv? ok, wine rack? sure why not? etc etc.)
The Sportsmobile is more my pace, but the Earthroamer really kicks things up a notch.

Well there were only two positions listed as hiring so I applied for both just in case. I was on the job hunt in may/june so this was my hail mary to get a good job and it somehow worked.
That’s probably a sign you should come to Colorado and skip out on your half-year long winter...

They do!!! Really cool stuff with these. The best part is when I get to drive em for a bit to switch em out/test stuff.

Yeah, they offered $2K in relocation assistance.
I can’t figure out why. There has to be plenty of people out there with my same Certs and skills.
There has to be a “Why”.

I don’t think he works there anymore, but he did. You should say hi, he’s here on oppo and overland & expedition a lot.

Nice! And mind if I ask what field? Colorado has pretty specific industries so maybe you really are specialized for what’s here.
Heck earthroamer is the only auto spot I know of in colorado...

Ah ok. Yeah apprentice there was a big shakedown a couple years ago in the company. Management and staff changes all over the place.
What’s his username? Is it Tim? (That would be awesome)

HVAC/R, Plumbing and hand cut Fab work..
Don’t ask anyone for anything. I do want to move West but I don’t want to ride on anyone’s shoulders.

Bachelors in 2010, then worked in oil for a bit. Finished my Masters this May, then a couple months later got this gig. Not many of the guys I work with have degrees though. They’ve just been working in their specific departments for a very long time. Two of the guys I work with have been working on cars for a job since they were in their teens.

Hey I feel ya, I’m the same way. Funny enough I’ve never even had an interview at places where I have a contact. It’s better this way.
