Those with keen eyes may also spot some of the rear end.

Most of the missing pieces are now in this guy:

Yeah the brush guard’s a little twisted. Because it's been used for some heavy brush.

“Brush guard” that’s always a funny one. Talk about something that was incorrectly named from day one.

I like to call them fender manglers. They typically cause more damage than they prevent.

So.. What are doing to that Comanche? Rebuild?

Wait a second: you mean you actually use your brush guard!?!?

I’ve had it four years now. It was my daily up until 16 months ago when it developed a severe bottom end knock (large flake glitter in the oil) and I just swapped the motor out. Future plans are for a small lift, possibly AX15 swap (currently an AW4) but also stroking and rebuilding the 4.0 I pulled out.

The brush guard is because I do this thing where I drive down roads that haven’t been maintained for longer than I’ve been alive. Obviously I’m not ripping down them, but some times fallen trees hide in the willows, and taking a tree to the guard is better than taking one direct to the grill, lights, or fibreglass header panel, even though it’s just a thin-walled factory one.

Not often. But I do sometimes go for a cruise down unmaintained/abandoned sections of the rural grid, and sometimes heavier stuff hides in the willows.
