We go every Friday morning. My wife’s coffee order is nearly a paragraph:

Double Grande Mocha Frappucino No Whip Extra Mocha Drizzle in a Venti cup.

I get a venti dark with 3 sugars and lots of cream.

Her coffee is always right. Mine is right one week out of the month.

Fuckin’ Starbucks.

Sounds like my experience with Sonic.

“Make my wife a number 1 with mustard, no onions, extra pickles. No, my wife doesn’t want mayo, ketchup, or onions on her burger. Yes, please put mustard and extra pickles. Yes, she still wants lettuce and tomato. “

“Make mine a number 1 with Mustard, not mayo, not ketchup. Look, your menu says mustard, ketchup, OR mayo. Nowhere does it say MAYO ON EVERY BURGER!”

What do we get? Ketchup, mustard, onions, and no extra pickles on her burger. Mayo and mustard on mine. What the hell is wrong with these people?

The key is to pick something off the menu and just order it however it comes, with no modifications. Don’t try to be a unique and special snowflake, expressing your individuality through your chosen caffeinated beverage.

I think their drip coffee tastes burned and bitter. I actually prefer McDonalds or Flying J (good truck stop coffee).

I’ll agree with 2 of your 3 assessments. Starbucks has very strong, sometimes bitter coffee, but to me that’s a feature. Flying J is good for a truck stop. McDonald’s coffee is hot horse piss.

Maybe the amount of cream you need needs to be a quantitative amount.

Also, this is why I hate drive throughs. Inside you can check everything and get it fixed more easily.

Friends and myself simply say ‘coffee NATO standard’ (coffee, milk and two sugars) or ‘white coffee’ as I put the sugar in myself.

They put too much sugar in everything in my opinion. Their mochas just taste likea sugar syrup with a drop of espresso somewhere in there. My wife says you have to order an extra shot to offset the sensation of liquid sugar in a cup.
