Stopped by the local club’s monthly meet up to see what cars would be there.

Unfortunately it turned out my camera’s battery was dead so I only had my phone to use. Otherwise I would have more, better pictures to share. Every month the local VW guys meet for pizza in south Austin and it’s fun to drop by if you like old cars. Surprisingly, despite the beetle being the most common VW ever, beetles were outnumbered by buses and things tonight.

Made some small talk about vintage cars and generally had a nice evening.

Cool. I want a type 3 soo bad. It’s my top choice of rear pre 70’s VWs. hard choice would be squareback VS Fastback.

I’ve always thought the fastbacks looked kind of weird. Love the notchback and squareback though.

To me the fastback is the best looking, lol. But I love the squareback because wagons are great.

It’s that looooong window that throws off the balance. Could have benefitted from a hoffmeister kink. It does look pretty good from the back though.

I guess I can see that, but I also loove big windows. to me the more of the cabin of a vehicle is glass the better. I also think it look a bit british. almost MGB GT ish.

Too bad unlike the MG, the VW isn’t a lift back, which brings me back to the squareback.
